The Minns Labor Government is encouraging community organisations in Penrith to apply for a share of $500,000 through the Community Road Safety Grants program.
Eligible not-for-profit and charitable organisations can apply for grants of up to $5,000 or up to $30,000 to deliver local initiatives that improve road safety outcomes in Penrith.
Since launching in 2015, the program has distributed more than $4.1 million to community organisations across NSW, backing grassroots projects that help reduce road trauma and encourage safer behaviour on our roads.
The 2026 Community Road Safety Grants program opened on Monday 24 August 2026 and closes at 4pm on Monday 28 September 2026.
The grants form part of the Minns Labor Government’s work to improve road safety across NSW, supporting community groups to deliver targeted initiatives that respond to local needs.
